One time PhysioWife and I were strolling along the pedestrian path on the Great Highway just south of Golden Gate Park, and this huge-ass motherfucking bird dive-bombed us, pulling up only milliseconds before taking off our heads. We both collapsed to the ground in terror, and then started laughing uproariously.
Am I being the devil's advocate? I guess. But I feel sorry for that bird that it's so stressed out that it feels it needs to constantly defend its nest. Good thing it's not a bigger bird, tho. Owls do a similar thing and people have lost eyes because of it.

ReplyDeleteThat happened to me this summer, on the shore of a remote lake. Red-winged blackbird, actually. I used my fishing rod to keep it away.
