This looks like astronauts Poole and Bowman having zero-gravity fun together. If they'd spend less time on one another and more on HAL he probably wouldn't have had that lethal fit of jealousy.
(And it makes me wonder: is male Olympic gymnastics patriarchal? 'cause honestly, those guys could probably give the athletes a run for their money...)
