Uh, yes, some of us here on Earth have been saying this for YEARS; nice you're finally catching up, MAYBE?

Oh, it seems to have maybe dawned on some people in the mainstream media that Ann Coulter is a troll. Who knew, right? And that maybe they should -stop enabling her- and NOT keep inviting her on their show every time she excretes a new piece of troll-waste. Great fucking idea!!! Not holding my breath, though.

p.s. note to any brilliant TV producers or whatnot who might happen by: it's NOT good T.V. it's BORING. No, seriously. I'm Jewish, and I just don't even give a shit. It's like being offended by slime mold. She's a piece of crap, and it's OLD NEWS. If you can't muster up the energy or imagination to put on something besides the Argument Clinic/Abuse, at least get someone new already. It's not -just- that she's utterly without any reedeming qualities; she's a HAS-BEEN. Hell, she's almost -had- been by now, she's so over. Get it? There's a reason your numbers are plummeting. Well, more than one, but might as well start here.

I took a look at the link you posted, and I can't believe they don't get tired of listening to themselves. Talk about giving her a platform. Sheesh. But they can't blame her - she is rewarded by the conservatives for every hateful, over-the-top thing she says.

I mean, was anyone even seriously surprised that she said that? We all knew she was thinking that, right?

I remember when I first came across Ann Coulter's special brand of screed. Whenever I said anything about it, my conservative "friends" would try to tell me that no one takes her seriously (while at the same time taking shots at extreme liberals as if they represented all liberal viewpoints). Sadly, it seems to me that the Republicans encourage her and egg her on, and she does have an audience.

She harms social and political discourse. While she's free to say these things, those who invite her to talk shows, give her interviews, and publish her books aren't obligated to do these things. They contribute to the harm she causes by enabling her.

If that's what perfection looks like, I think I'll pass.

All I will say about Coultergeist is this:

She wouldn't exist if there wasn't a consistent audience for her rantings in the general public.....and if the establishment media wasn't so dominated by the likes of Limbaugh, Savage, O'Reilly, Hannity, and the rest of the "uptown" bigots. The only difference is that Annie is a bit more direct with her right-wing bigotry, while Rush and BillO at least use the usual code words to mask theirs.

Rather than wasting time and space parroting Coulter for her usual droppings, a far better idea for progressives would be to form their own media and speak directly to the public that way, rather than relying on the MSM which is and always will be stacked against them and stacked to the Right.

I've been waiting for her to say something like that... I mean, if she can say it about the Muslims, why not Jews? I think everyone believed she was merely "joking" when she said it about Muslims, and David Horowitz even hired her on at FRONT PAGE after that... wonder what he is thinking now?

Well, if you look at her, obviously the poor thing hasn't had a decent meal in months (if not years), her hair is lank, dry and unhealthy, and she only has the one too-small black tank sleeveless dress, which is wildly inappropriate for most occasions, to wear. I think her friends in the media are just trying to help a broke and broken colleague who desperately needs some money. Nice of them, right?

Anyway, that's how I deal. Even my very conservative mom who loves Faux News laughed--she thinks they need to stop booking Coulter, too.

She makes my eyes roll so bad my kids have to hit me in the back of the head to get them realigned.

I am one conservative who does NOT applaud her tactics or her rhetoric.

CL: i keep thinking -eventually- she's got to send that LBD to the cleaners, and then she'll -have- to stay at home, because clearly there's nothing else in her wardrobe. but, no.

btw, i was looking for a contact addy for you; can you drop me a line if you get a chance? bel4 AT earthlink DOT net.

Thank you, belle.

Oh, hey...you know, I've seen lucky's frothing rants online for years, and I never equated her with Coulter before. It's so perfect.

I didn't think it was possible for me to take her even less seriously, but that image did it. :)
