“We begin to confront the thingness of objects when they stop working for us: when the drill breaks, when the car stalls, when the windows get filthy, when their flow within the circuits of production and distribution, consumption and exhibition, has been arrested, however momentarily. The story of objects asserting themselves as things, then, is the story of a changed relation to the human subject and thus the story of how the thing really names less an object than a particular subject-object relation. And, yet, the word things holds within it a more audacious ambiguity.”

Wow, what a thought provoking quote. Thanks.
"How dare you defy me?"
"You wanted to make a thing out of me. I guess it worked."
1) Are comments closed on the June 30 post?
2) Does anyone have a link describing what exactly you are apologizing for and what is going on?
3) I feel like I am only getting dribs and drabs, bits and pieces of the story.
Whoever wants to email me, feel free. (I am floating in Sesame Street right now and haven't been able to follow much of anything.)
Hi, Daisy,
Yeah, comments are closed. No, there's no link more direct. Honestly it's not something I'm central in & I may not even have needed to post that much. Like I said, I think the important issue has to do with the clinic & health care (or lack thereof) itself, so I'm gonna try to focus on that; the rest really isn't about me.
You're in Sesame Street?
Probably a consequence of the Small Child Visiting.
