ETA: Apparently there's also going to be another reverend at the inauguration. Joseph Lowery, giving the benediction. That's more like it. Too bad he can't be getting the prime spot, attention-wise, but apparently he has the last word.

Obama sold out the gay movement period.
1) No doubt.
2) It could still be worse, and we're still waiting for the actual policy, you know.

"Sold out"? He was never pro-gay to begin with.
I'm still hoping he'll prove more progressive on gay issues than Clinton. Time will tell.
I think he'll pretty much have to be, but mainly because it's now well over a decade later.
