hey Belle, i wrote a post using a comment you left somewhere else as a jumping off pont. I just wanted you to know that it isnt at all an attack on you it just gave me a place to start

(glancing over quickly) and yes, you're right, i was actually gonna say, but got distracted: of course one way to interpret "Frankenstein," and a reasonable one, is through a feminist lens, as well as various other kinds of anti-mechanistic ones: the uber-rational scientist taking over the means of creation. The scientist is the real monster, yes.
it still didn't give lucky call to use it to call transfolk "monsters," which is pretty much exactly what she was doing. and -that- part had feckall to do with Shelley, i maintain.
yeah i wasnt saying she did have the right to call transpeople (or anyone else)monsters. It was more about heart having a pissy over little light using the idea of the monster
