...whenever my...theories don't fit reality and/or cause harm to people, I change my theories. Seems simple enough, but it does require admitting that I'm wrong from time to time, and I'm coming to understand that a fuckload lot more people than I'd have guessed would rather go to war than admit that they've made a mistake.

Heh, it's a little disorienting to come check your threads and find my own text on your front page. Thanks for the nod, Belledame.
not at all, it's bang on.
Recalls a comment from John Maynard Keynes, responding to somebody who'd criticized him for changing his mind: "When my information changes, I change my opinion. What do you do, Sir?"
Wow. There's someone else out there willing to blog Wham! videos...
Wham! videos aren't as low as I'm willing to go, either. I did hair metal 80s a few weeks ago, and sooner or later I'll get around to the atrocities of late 70s synthpop.
Good quote - I have always known based on past history that I am probably wrong in some way and likely many ways at any one time - but since I don't have the information to figure out where I am wrong as yet (because I would change honest!) - I just try to do no harm. Except when I get pissed off...which only happens 52 times a year. So I'm improving.
