Overheard in the neighborhood chocolate shop/cafe today:

"I don’t drink because I do terrible things when I’m drunk. Once this guy was hitting on me, and I pushed him through a plate glass window, head first. Nothing happened though. And I say all these racist things! Only when I’m drunk. But when I get drunk I just…say anything. Is that part of me? I don’t want to be a racist, so I don’t drink."

Was that Mel Gibson?

indeed.

or at least some skinny chick channeling him for a bit.

although Mel'd probably think putting the guy through the window wasn't something to feel even vaguely embarrassed about.

I want to say something, but I can't get my mouth to bounce back from its dropped-jaw status.

I just want to commend her for choosing not to be a racist drunk.

Breathtaking...

I thought San Francisco was a haven of the liberal minded intellect.

What happened here? ( :

I need to it be, so I don't totally lose respect for American culture.

Yay for successive gay marriage wins!

Uh, and, all of the various Mel Gibsonish problems aside, do people not understand that there are certain things you don't talk about in public?

ah, well, etiquette, schmettiquette, I for one am grateful; eavesdropping would be so much less interesting if people adhered to that sort of thing...

BD: on the contrary, if people adhered to that idea then you'd have to eavesdrop on their private conversations, which is more interesting than just sitting in a cafe and listening.

It might be dangerous to eavesdrop....people may punch you or something.

Then again, look at the success the NSA had! ( :

I just had lunch with one B. Dame #222.

Conversation was scintillating as ever. We talked about each and every one of you, and you will never know what we said. But we said something about you!!!

Mandos,

I had no idea Belledame thought of
me that often ( :

I haven't commented very frequently on this blog for awhile.
