I cannot comment at your blogs at the moment, precisely because of the annoying blogger wv thing mentioned below. Apparently it is not affecting other people, which can only lead me to the conclusion that blogger, and hence God, hates me.
Meanwhile, however, to answer Renegade's most recent proposal: are you suggesting a new group blog? Because if so, I'd totally be down.

May I remind you of the I hate you so bad post you addressed to Blogger? Clearly you brought down the malocchio on yourself. I'll pray to St. Gennaro, you wave a dead chicken over your keyboard and maybe we can reverse the curse. Good luck.
why yes, i am. however, rosa insists I write a post about race before even PONDERING the idea...so...that will have to come first for me.
Well, here's a possible angle, which, i've no idea if this'll resonate, but:
d'you ever get "oh, you're so -exotic- looking?" does that play into the job? or elsewhere?
also would be keen to hear just plain ol' family history--i'm always interested in that.
clearly god hates us all.
I've been trying to say something smartncute on Ren's blog for like three days. obviously god is not amused by my wisenheimer self.
begging y'all to join me and dump wv, at least for now.
Belle heh, oddly enough, the post, history and exotic, is up, and for you...sure, wv shall be dumped
cheers.
i apologize in advance for excess assiness. so far i've gotten one spambot; but then they seem to sneak through anyway.
It's not just you, Belledame. I've been having this problem for some time. It either doesn't show the alphabet soup or fails to recognize the letters you input. So annoyed, was I, that I turned the verification off on my blog.
This was what I had to do to fix it. I use FireFox with FasterFox. FasterFox and perhaps any acceleration program seems to be the culprit. I now turn the acceleration off on the few blogs that have this problem and can then comment. Don't know why it is only certain blogs, but that seemed to be the issue. Blogger can evidently only just barely handle the RFC specs. If you go over, it can't handle them at all.
I've heard that some places and perhaps Blogger are writing stuff like this intentionally to screw with programs like Fasterfox. (and these programs are considered a bit discourteous) Bad news for folks like me stuck on slow dial-up.
I'm having the same problem. *pats her Comment-for-Ren-in-txt-file sadly*
Rosie--it's not blogger. Those "accelerator" programs work by compressing image files--including the word verification images, which are produced "on the fly" by the blogger server--they don't actually exist anywhere, so if they get compressed... there's nothing TO compress.
maybe you reached your comment limit?
