Yep, O'Rly? is STILL a giant sucking wound of an asshole in the process of terminal meltdown: film at eleven

The latest, via the increasingly-aptly-named Sweet Jesus, I Hate Bill O'Reilly:

"Your so-called compassion helped kill those kids"

Wherein Geraldo Rivera comes off looking like the sane, noble, classy guy:

O'REILLY: I'm basically saying that we must get this situation of illegal immigration under control. The chaos is killing children. Go.

RIVERA: I think to draw -- to make the connection between illegal immigration and that horrific fire in the Bronx two days ago is an injustice to the victims of that fire. Why did they die?

There's no code violations that they found. There were no required, you know -- everything in the building so far --

O'REILLY: Twenty-two people in the house.

RIVERA: There were two batteries missing in the fire alarm.

O'REILLY: Twenty-two people in a house.

RIVERA: But, Bill, the status of the immigration is not relevant.

My legal nanny has children in school with three of those victims. It is the human cause. And if you --

O'REILLY: This is what you missed. I'm going to give you the last word. But this is what you missed. This is a sanctuary city. That means the authorities do not ask any questions about anybody's status or anybody's condition.

RIVERA: Bill, they're dead children, for God's sake, they're dead children.

O'REILLY: If they had been American children --

RIVERA: They'd still be dead children. It would still be heartbreaking.

O'REILLY: No, the authorities would have gone in and checked them out.

RIVERA: No, please. That's not so.

O'REILLY: Yes, it is.

RIVERA: You don't know that to be a fact.

O'REILLY: Yes, I do.

Is he getting more evil as his ratings drop, or am I imagining things?

and if the authorities had been allowed to do their duty and look in on their overcrowded, filthy, fire hazard of a home, the way all illegal immigrants' are, they would've been safely deported or split up or held in some detention center, and thus no tragedy would've occurred. QED. god, you're so THOUGHTLESS.

(hi, piny!!)

Veronica: he's definitely getting more blatantly out to lunch. the going theory at NBC appears to be that Olbermann has, in fact, driven him completely insane. which pleases me greatly, because i am EV0L

Does Bill O'Reilly really believe his crap or does he just say it because his career depends on it?

Go Olbermann!

I think he's totally Dr. Frankensteining it; intoxicated by his own power. This is a *good and legitimate* argument because it proves (however rhetorically or abstractly) his profound insights on immigration, with absolutely no thought to the way it applies to the conversation.

Whatever, Bill. I give you the jazzhand.

I dont even know why Im commenting, it all sort of speaks for itself really. Just a shame someone is using other peoples misfortune to further their own point. Thats the jist of it right? This O'Rly bloke is using this to poke at some immigration law?

If I remember correctly, he used to be a wee bit more rational than he seems to be now. But now he's too narcissistic even by my standards, and far more right-wing than he used to seem to be. Maybe I was just too young then to see the crazy, though.

well, typical for this sort of personality is to decompensate as the castle in the air starts crumbling around their ears; so yeah, he's pretty much playing right on schedule.

--oo, more! O'Rly? Godwins it:

Tonight, Bill O’Reilly attacked the “radical movement” that opposed the Nevada Democratic Party’s debate with Fox News. O’Reilly said that MoveOn, “the Daily Kos or whatever that stupid thing is,” and others “use propaganda techniques perfected by Dr. Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi minister of information. They lie, distort, defame, all the time.” Progressive activists attack Fox News because “we report on them accurately,” O’Reilly said.

anyway, this is a nice roundup of his latest and greatest, if you've an interest in trainwrecks

When you start looking like an ass next to Geraldo Riveira that's not a good sign.
On the other hand I've seen O'Reilly on a panel with Pat Buchanan where Buchanan came off looking like the voice of reason in comparison.
If Olberman pushed him over the edge I really need to buy that man a drink.

I've seen him talking to Rivera as well, recently, and I wish I could remember what it was about, but all I could think was that Rivera used to be the lunatic running around Akron asking for interviews with random people, and now he's Mr. Rational while O'Reilly's gone crazy. Nicht gut.

No, Piny...they were Black African immigrants (who were actually there legally, BTW), and they were herded by their landlords into a hellhole with no protection and no money even for batteries for their smoke detectors.

For a racist cracker in Armani suits like BillO, that's quite enough.

Well done, FUX Snooze.

Well, come on; it's not like we can blame the LANDLORDS.

He is just such the evil tosser on so many levels. You just want to fast forward in time to him being a jacko-esque has-been so you can enjoy how poorly he will deal with being a nobody.
