i don't know, i think she's being kind of partisan here

but in an objective kind of way, it is true. it is an interesting video, but bor-ing, unless you do something with it.

my eyes are watering--look! shiny! i see everything twice! now there are two Ann Althouses. they are both very interesting, maybe one not quite so much as the other. heh. interesting things with bodily fluids.

no, i am not at all intoxicated, why do you ask?

I couldn't take it anymore and watched less than half of it but that was more than enough. LOL What I was wondering is why she thought making that vlog was a good idea in the first place, does she honestly believe she has fans who want to listen to her boring drunken comments about American Idol? But hey, you can see the tv in her ginormous glass of wine! (That's where I had to shut it off.)

the sad thing is i think she DOES have fans who lap that shit up.

i guess there are people willing to sycophant to pretty much anything if you only are shameless enough about needing it.

Oh, this is just embarrassing, but then, I do love me some schadenfreude.

I'm not sure if you could hear what she says in the beginning over the sound of the tv. But it's something like, "You get to watch me watch American Idol. You probably think I'm a really big fan, but I actually don't like the show." And then goes on to 'prove it' by knowing all the contestants, and what's happened in past episodes, and getting all worked up about who stays and who is in the bottom 3, etc.

Just like that last little movie you posted where she didn't want to talk about flame wars and then wouldn't get off the subject of flame wars.

Oh this is sad.

There was jokes made at feministe about her peeing on the floor to get attention.

I'll leave the rest unsaid in light of this video.

I thought it was daringly postmodern of her to talk about the cinematography while actually performing within it. She's certainly an artist.

A very, very, very, poor artist.

This is what a TTT education will get you and what you can expect out of UW law staff, huh?

Let's ask UW Cinema Professor, Ben Singer, what he thinks of her 'analysis'. It's a good thing she doesn't really have much of a day job anymore!

And that effin' hair tossing is sooo tragic.

I just can't watch it.

I'm thinking of the title of an Almodovar film, minus the word verge.

This is very useful information.

I couldn't even make it halfway. I still can't get over the fact that a tenured law professor apparently doesn't have two brain cells to rub together, writes like a grade-schooler, and has serious emotional problems to boot.

The bAnnality of evil.

tenured law school prof, nothin': the friggin' New York Times has printed her drivel.

seriously, how did she get to be "known" in the first place? is she just like the law school equivalent of Angelyne or something? famous for being famous?

I feel robbed. That is six minutes of my life I'll never get back again. I could have spent that time watching my fingernails growing and it would have been more entertaining. This woman is AMAZINGLY clueless! Who records themself watching television? Although it was interesting to see how pathetic drains on the earth's oxygen supply spend their evenings at home.
